STUDENT WORK

With the rigorous practice of any sport, comes--hopefully--a great deal of passion for it. This boathouse at Ford Lake Park is a completely accessible, passion-inducing environment that organically brings its inhabitants together while simultaneously reminding them of the sport they love and why they love it. As these uncertain times often overwhelm and isolate, I used the park's natural features to encourage togetherness and exploration. Both inside and out, spacious volumes of glass and solid bleed into each other, establishing a unique drive within the complex as the ambiguous space offers its inhabitants varying levels of exposure to each other as well as the surrounding landscape.
