HOUSE “STREETLESS”

The project utilizes symbols for one to recognize inside and outside, questioning at precisely what point does the psychological boundary become more powerful than the physical environment, it aims to provide the house with a stage for performance. There are two primary principles that guide the design of the house: first, indication of barrier and second, differentiation between interior and exterior. These principles eventually evolve into architural language that triggers one's memory of the threshold between inside and outside, reversing the role of the house owner and the pedestrian to create an ambiguous space for “outdoor” performances to happen in a private setting.
